Bad Web Design
Posted July 12, 2003

Sometimes I want to be a web designer.

I know someone who works for a company. The company has a new web site. A web designer made it for free. I think it sucks.

Apparently, the designer is just getting into the web design business.

As far as I can tell, web design is art.

I know how to write HTML. I know how the internet works. However, like most web designers, I don't know nearly enough about graphic design to call myself a designer.

It's easy to identify bad commercial art, but it's difficult to do better yourself.
